A.R.T.S. Program

Please join us for a free, monthly educational program designed for persons with early to moderate stage Alzheimer’s disease and/or a related dementia. Participants in our A.R.T.S. (Alzheimer’s Recreation Training & Services) program acquire new skills and hobbies, visit new places, and meet new people in a caring, stimulating environment where laughter and sharing are highly encouraged. Care partners are always invited to attend and join in the fun!

Supervision of our participants is a priority. Most activities are held in our chapter office the first and third Wednesday of each month from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm. In house activities have included:

  • Sing-a-longs
  • Virtual Tours
  • Art Therapy
  • Show and Tell Sessions

Occasionally, field trips are scheduled, and transportation to and from the activity is provided. Past field trips have included:

  • Blue Bell Creamery
  • Heritage Museum
  • Body Worlds
  • Mad Potter

For more information about the A.R.T.S. program or to register, contact Fran Floersheimer at 713-314-1383.
