Lunch and Learn - Understanding the Dementia Experience

Join us for a presentation by Alzheimer's Association Educator Andrea James, MPH about understanding the dementia experience.

Andrea will demonstrate the impact the symptoms of dementia have on a patient's abilities through a simulation of learning empathy and sensitivity training. She will also discuss techniques to communicate with individuals with dementia and the responsibility in providing person-centered care to avoid stereotyping and discrimination.

One hour of CEU available for nurses and social workers.
