Our vision for a world without Alzheimer's starts with you!
If you're looking to get connected with the Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter, join us for ALZ 101. This quick, one-hour introduction covers the programs and services we offer in the Houston area.
We'll also share how you can join in the fight against Alzheimer's as a volunteer, donor and supporter at special events like Walk to End Alzheimer's and The Longest Day.
All are invited to join us on Saturday, May 20th at 2:00 pm for a short presentation on 'The Power of Paws' at the Alzheimer's Association Houston office. Then, meet and interact with the dogs from Peace, Love and Therapy Dogs from 2:30-3:30pm.
Peace, Love and Therapy Dogs is a volunteer, dog handler organization providing comfort and affection for people in many situations. Studies have shown that the use of a therapy dog with persons with dementia has resulted in increased socialization, improved social behaviors and decreased agitation. This event is great for the whole family!
