This presentation will focus on the issues of intimacy and sexuality, consent, and the related ethical dilemmas that arise within a context of dementia. Discussion will focus on the physical and emotional needs of persons with dementia, the ways in which sexual relationships will change as the disease progresses, and ethical issues regarding sexual relationships with/between persons who have dementia.
