Speakers Bureau

In addition to our core programming, the Alzheimer’s Association maintains an active Speakers Bureau that consists of volunteers lending their expertise to general and professional audiences on a variety of topics. The Speakers Bureau serves all of Harris and 28 surrounding counties. Current speakers include physicians, health care professionals, mental health professionals, attorneys, financial planners, and family caregivers. We welcome speakers fluent in all languages.

Invite a member of our Speakers Bureau to address your organization. The following topics are available for your selection:

  • Normal Aging, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease

  • Healthy Aging and Brain Health

  • Alzheimer’s Disease: More than Memory Loss

  • Stress Management for the Caregiver

  • Effective Communication Skills for Persons with Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease

  • Dealing with Feelings: Anger, Denial, and Grief

  • Legal Issues

  • Financial Planning

  • Later Life Issues and Hospice Care

  • Clinical Update on Alzheimer’s

While we strive to accommodate any request, a thirty-day advance request is appreciated. For bilingual speakers, a forty-five day advance notice is appreciated.
