The Alzheimer's Association urges you to make your voice and your vote heard about
Alzheimer's issues related to public policy. Caregivers, family members, and
individuals with Alzheimer's are the most credible advocates.
One of the ways advocates can use technology to take advantage of these new advocacy
opportunities is through the Internet. The Alzheimer's Association National Office has
developed a very useful Advocacy Section of their website that can be accessed by
following this link
.
Individuals can visit the web site and sign up to become a member
of the
National Alzheimer Advocacy Network (NAAN)
. Becoming a member of NAAN gives
advocates access to important legislative information, including email Action Alerts
from the National Public Policy office. An Action Alert informs advocates about
critical legislative issues and urges them to
contact members of Congress
.
